Awards for this grading period –
Perfect Church Attendance:Sydney Duenckel, Trent Blochberger, Katie Engelbrecht
Perfect Sunday School Attendance: Trent Blochberger, Katie Engelbrecht
Perfect School Attendance: Brody Eads, Jaelyn Engelbrecht, Samantha Matthews, Adrianna Walker.
It was a pleasure to welcome some of the Kindergarten class for next year when we had visitation day today. There were ten present for an afternoon of story time, Show & Tell, crafts and a special treat from Mrs. Duenckel. Of course our class is open for sixteen, so we pray by fall, that there will be others.
Thank you God for the beauty of spring! Our school campus is SO pretty with all the shades of this season.
Continue to rejoice in our Risen Lord and Savior!
Serving Christ and you here at Immanuel,
Virginia Duenckel

3RD & 4TH GRADE UPDATE
The 3rd & 4th graders had delicious and healthy snacks during Achievement Tests. Thank you for all the snacks! I appreciate all the help and encouragement I get from my parents. Thank you!!!
The students should be working on writing and illustrating a story. I encouraged them to type and illustrate it at home. They also need to make a cover for their books. This assignment is due Monday, April 28th. Any questions, please ask. This assignment is ¼ of their writing grade.
We are gearing toward the end of the year. Please encourage your child to read. The reading logs are due Monday morning.
Parents please check and sign your child’s assignment book. I’ve had students with incomplete work, don’t know their memory work, or don’t have their books signed. They lose 5 minutes of morning recess if their book isn’t signed. If work is incomplete they stay in until it’s done and lose 10% on their grade for being late.
Enjoy your week with your child. I hope they relax and have fun. They worked very hard during Achievement Tests.
The students will have one more Book Report due before school is over. They need to begin reading a book over break. The book report is due May 9th. This is part of their reading grade.
I would like a schedule of your child’s softball or baseball games for this summer. My plan is to go and watch at least one of their games.
Have a Great Spring break
Mrs. Leech
GROWING IN FAITH 7TH & 8TH
May all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation always say, “Let God be exalted!” Psalm 70:4
There is no better season to rejoice in God’s goodness and creation than spring. As we watch the world come alive again and feel the warmth of the sun, we remember that because of the warmth of God’s Son, we are alive again also.
Thank you for the opportunity to learn and be replenished through the LEA Conference in Minneapolis next week. God is exalted through this national conference and I am excited to join in the rejoicing.
May God bless all of the students over this spring break and let them also be renewed and ready to finish out the school year upon their return.
Yours in Christ,
Mandy McDonald
2007-2008 ENROLLMENT FORMS…
The form and registration fee of $100.00 per child are due by MAY 2nd.
After that date, the registration fee becomes $200.00 per child. We have this early registration so that we can order books, workbooks, and supplies at a discounted rate from textbook wholesale companies. The registration fee DOES NOT come off the tuition rate, but there will still be a 5% discount for tuition that is “paid in full” by the first day of school in August.
ATTENTION ALL 7TH & 8TH GRADE CONFIRMATION PARENTS
There will be a short meeting after church on Sunday, April 20, to discuss the plans for the Confirmation service and reception.
Thank you!
COINS FOR CONSTRUCTION
Remember your quarters when you come back from spring break to put in your classroom jars. At the end of the 4 weeks, the winning classroom will have a pizza party and the other rooms will have popcorn parties sponsored by our Partner in Education – RRCU
CHURCH/SCHOOL BUDGET WORKSHOP
Come this Sunday, April 20th at 2 p.m. in the Church Basement to have your questions answered about tuition, salaries, worker benefits, church offerings, checkbook balances, and anything else related to church and school finances. We also need your comments and suggestions about how to continue to fund our church and school into the future.
