How to Pray-Ten simple rules
1. Pray where you are, God is present everywhere and ready to listen.

II. Pray, when possible, in a quiet place where you can be alone. It is well to fix your mind deliberately on god, apart from confusing distractions.

III. Pray to God simply and naturally, as to a friend. Tell Him what is on your mind. Get help from the prayers of others.

IV. Pray, remembering the good things God has done for you. Reckon up your blessings from time to time, and give thanks for them.

V.Pray for Gods forgiveness for the unworthy things that you may have done. He is near to a humble and contrite heart.

VI. Pray for the things you need, especially those that will make your life finer and more Christlike.

VII. Pray for others, remembering the situations they confront and the help they need.

VIII. Pray for the world in its need, asking God to bring better things and offering your help to them.

IX. Pray above everything else that Gods will may be done in you and in the world. His purposes are deeper and wiser than anything we can imagine.

X. Pray, and then let God use you in answering your prayer.

CHILDREN

Our Father, we thank thee for the joy of having this child to love and to care for, and to bring up in faith in thee. Grant us grace to give him/her the full measure of our devotion, and to set before him/her always a good example of the Christian life. Bless us in our growth together, and may our home be enriched by the simple joys that come of loving and serving one another; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

CHILDS BEDTIME PRAYER

Jesus, Tender Shepard, hear me. Bless thy little lamb tonight. Through the darkness be Thou near me,Keep me safe til morning light. All this day Thy hand has led me, and has kept me in thy care. Thou has warmed me, clothed me, fed me. Listen to my evening prayer. May my sins be all forgiven, bless the ones I love so well. Take us at last to heaven, Happy there with Thee to dwell.--Joan Gregory.

THE LORDS PRAYER

Our Father, who art in heaven.
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power
and the glory forever and ever.Amen

  THE APOSTLES’ CREED

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, Born of the Virgin Mary;
suffered under Pontius Pilate; Was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended into hell; The third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven; and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit; The holy Christian Church,
the Communion of Saints; The forgiveness of sins;
The resurrection of the body; And the life everlasting. Amen.

NICENE CREED
I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible.And in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only -begotten Son of God, begotten of His Father before all worlds, God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made; who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven and was incarnate by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary, and was made man, and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures; ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again with glory to judge both quick and the dead.
And I believe in the Holy Ghost; the Lord and Giver of Life, who proceeded from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son together, is worshiped and glorified, who spake by the Prophets. And I believe one holy Christian and Apostolic Church. I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins; and I look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

THANKS

I want to thank you Jesus, for taking care of me today. Everywhere I went, everything I did, I know that you were right by my side. Sometimes you were so quiet I hardly knew you were there. Sometimes I saw your hand working in powerful ways to steer me in the directionryou wanted me to go and to protect me when I faced situations that could have hurt me. Thank you for staying so close. Thank you stepping in front of me when I was so busy that forgot to keep my eyes on you. And thank you for loving me even when I havent been so lovable. You are a great Friend and a great God. Im glad I dont have to worry about you ever leaving my side. In your precious name I pray. Amen.

  WHEN EVERY DAY IS SPECIAL

0 Lord, today is truly special, for it comes as a gift from you to me. I am surrounded by the marvelous things you have made: babies are born, leaves bud on the trees, bodies heal after illness, children ride two-wheelers for the first time, people build friendships. Help me to always see your hand in my world, even on what seems like the most ordinary of days. Open my eyes to see your love in countless little things, and in that way become aware of the grand scale of your grace. Make my heart sing with your Praise today and every day. Today is truly special for it is a gift from you to me. Thank you for this day. Amen.
Rev. Mark W. Kukkonen

MEAL TIME

Before the Meal

Come, Lord Jesus, be our guest
And let these gifts to us be blessed. Amen.

Lord God, Heavenly Father, who so graciously hast opened Thy hands to supply us with daily bread, in sincere appreciation we aknowledge Thy bountiful goodness and love in Christ Jesus, our Lord. Amen.

The eyes of all wait upon Thee, O Lord, and Thou givest them their meat in due season; Thou openest Thine hand and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. Amen

Lord God, Heavenly Father, bless us and these Thy gifts, which we receive from thy bountiful goodness, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen

  After the Meal

We give thanks to Thee, O Lord, for Thou art good, and Thy mercy endureth forever. Amen.

We, thank Thee, Lord God, Heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for all thy benefits, who livest and reignest forever and ever. Amen.

Lord God, gracious and merciful, we acknowledge Thy bountiful goodness toward us and give Thee thanks for our daily bread so richly provided by Thee. And we ask Thee to continue to bless us with the benedictions of Thy fatherly hands, through Jesus Christ , our Lord. Amen.

Great God, O Giver of all Good, accept our praise and bless our food. Grace, health, and strength to us afford, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

TESTING
Help us, O Lord, when we must pass through times of testing, when it seems no news is good news, when even friends leave us alone. Break into our lives with your promises . Enable us to hear you speaking to our souls, be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Enable us, Heavenly Father to rejoice with those who rejoice. Bless all who celebrate anniversaries and times of rejoicing of any kind. Surround your people with friends, make us quiet with good memories, bond us to you and one another. Enable us to see, in all circumstances, your faithfulness, your presence, and your peace. Amen
Pastor T. Kriefall

God our Father, life pulls us in many directions, and presents many possibilities. Sometimes we do not know which way to turn. There are so many claims upon our time, so many demands for our attention, that the very range of choices before us drives us to distraction.
It is then that we need you. Yours is the ultimate claim on our lives; help us to listen for it in all the other claims that are made on us. Because we cannot do everything, help us to get our priorities right, to know what you want us to do now, and what we have to leave.
May the stress and strain of life not break us, but make us stronger, for Jesus sake. Amen.
