MIXED ADULT
With great joy and thanks we welcome Louise Whitworth as the new director fo the adult mixed choir! Our prayers have been answered and we at Immanuel look forward to doing a couple more pieces before summer break. Thanks again to Virginia Duenckel for her many years of faithful service. Welcome, Louise!
As the new choir director I would like to invite ALL adults to choir practice Monday, April 28, at 7:30 pm. We would love to have you!

MEN'S
The Men's Choir meets every Sunday at 7:00 pm. There is no requirement for men to read music. Make use of the gift of song that God has given you!

Calvary Lutheran High School
One hour information meetings have been scheduled over the next several weeks at Calvary. These meetings are designed to inform, enlighten, and answer any questions you may have about Calvary's future. Scheduled dates and times are: Sunday, 20th at 3:00 p.m.- Monday, April 21st at 6:00 p.m.-- Wednesday, April 23rd at noon-- Thursday, April 24th at 7:00 p.m.-- Sunday, April 27th at 6:00 p.m.-- Monday, April 28th at noon. Please come and join us!

Cemetery Committee

Thank You
The family of Carl Trinklein would like to express their sincere appreciation to everyone for their sympathy and kindness shown during our recent loss. To all who sent cards and flowers, gave memorials, dropped food by the home or otherwise offered words of comfort, your thoughtfullness will be remembered. Thank you also to the Immanuel Choir and Norma for the beautiful gifts of music which dad so loved, and everyone who brought food for the wonderful meal. Special thanks to Pastor Rick for his pastoral care during the months prior to dad's passing. We know with all confidence that dad is home now with his Lord and Savior.
UpDates from PSI
BBQ:
Thank you so much for all of the wonderful help to make this years BBQ a success. This year's BBQ raised $6168 to go towards our building project. Thank you also to those who purchased "We're Growing" t-shirts and car decals. To date this fundraising project has earned $650.00. We still have decals and t-shirts available. Please contact Amanda Sommerer if you are interested.
DONATION CARDS:
In only 4 weeks we have received 9 donation cards and raised $6,350. Thank you to those who have taken the leap of faith that will be need to see this large project come to life. Please continue to pray for the Lord's guidance in this project and each of our roles in His plan.
Project Plan 2008
Part of our project plan for this year has been completed. We have had Three Rivers Electric come in and run electric to the back of our property for use at the out buildings and to light the playground. Please atten the May Voters' meeting when we will discuss the second part of our project plan.
Church Office Hours
Secretary Shannon Lage is in from 10:00 until 3:00 Monday through Thursday.
Pastor Rick is in from 8:30 until 1:00 and often later Monday through Thursday.
The office will seek to respond to messages sent via email, fax, or the answering machine. Please mark the office hours on your calendars!
Portals of prayer
Copies of the above devotional resource for April through June are available in Founders' Hall on the table near the old main entrance. Be sure that your family has one copy and feel free to give a copy to your friend or neighbor.
Special Gift
In recognition of giving of their time helping with the musical in the areas of making costumes, running the sound system, making scenery, and ALL the many other "behind the scenes" activities, a monetary gift in the amount of $25.00 has been given to the new school building by the staff. Praise the Lord!
Missons Ablaze
Our next mission "outreach" for this school term is bringing in Coins for Construction. Containers will be provided in each classroom in the school and also in the entry way of the church. We are indeed prepared to eet the challenge of starting constructionof our new school in the Spring of 2009. It can't be done without your help! PLEASE send in those coins! The last weeks of this term will be spend collecting coins for CALVARY LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL. As we get closer to that period, we will keep you updated.
Women's Bible Study
Women are invited each Sunday at 6:15 PM to a study of different dimensions of the Christian faith. The class is currently studying Rick Warren's book entitled,Purpose Driven Life. Bring along a member or a friend. If you have any questions call Margie Propst.
Newsletter Deadline
Send me email or bring to the church office news articles for the month of May. Note that the Deadline is Monday April 21st. It would be great to hear from the preschool, the school office, one of the school classrooms, the committee on evangilism or stewardship, the trustees, or anyone else who has something to share about our ministry at Immanuel.
